About Knights of Columbus Norco Council 11837

Who We Are

In 1882, in the basement of Saint Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut, Father Michael J. McGivney organized the Knights of Columbus as a fraternal benefit society that would protect the widows and children of working men and foster their faith and their social progress.  Today, the Order has taken root in many parts of the world and has more than 2-million members with over 80,000 here in California, making it one of the largest Catholic lay organizations.

Knights are Catholic men, at least 18 years old, who are committed to making their community a better place while supporting their church.  Being a Knight is being involved with your community, supporting your parish, enhancing your own faith and protecting and enhancing your family life.

Imagine being part of an organization that fills your heart and your mind with the joy of giving to others and the feeling that comes with making a difference.   You will make lifelong friends.

  • FAITH: Grow in your faith.  Support your parish.  Help with your parish fiesta.  Knights become better Catholics.
  • FAMILY: We have many family activities each year such as picnics, council breakfasts, coats for kids and others. Give back to your community.  Show your children how to make a difference.
  • FRIENDSHIP: You will meet like-minded men and make life-long friendships.

About Our Council

Knights of Columbus Council 11837 Service To One Service To All

Serving Our Saint Mel Church, Our Knights Council and Our Communities of Norco and Eastvale. A Knights of Columbus council can work wonders; in fact, with its many fundraising programs, it can help change the community, town, city or neighborhood in which you live.

However, a successful Knights of Columbus program depends on people taking the initial idea, modifying it to suit specific situations and local needs, then implementing the program in the way it works.

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic, family, fraternal, service organization. This theme permeates the entire Service Program: all Church, community, council, family, culture of life, and youth activities.

The Service Program is designed to establish each council as an influential and important force within the community, elevate the status of the programming personnel, and provide more meaningful and relevant programs of action, establish direct areas of responsibility, build leadership, and ensure the success of council programs.
